About the Author

Tyler Newhouse

From middle-school stories to worlds of horror, science fiction, and fantasy.

Tyler Newhouse began writing in middle school. His English teachers encouraged him to pursue a career in writing, helping him see a future in the stories he was beginning to tell. That encouragement marked an important step on the path from a young writer to a novelist.

He went on to write across horror, science fiction, and fantasy. His books include The Inheritance and its sequel, Souls of Fire and Shadow, as well as Into the Wild, To Become Human, The Color of the Waves, and Reyna’s Lucid Dream.

His fiction takes readers from the haunted rooms of the Blue Mansion to distant futures, dream realms, and worlds of ancient conflict. Across these settings, his characters face difficult choices and forces much larger than themselves—the human struggles at the heart of his extraordinary worlds.
